21 Day Fast Day 8

Today is Week 2 day 1 of our 21 Day Fast, January 15, 2024.

How is your fast going? I hope you’re staying encouraged and continuing to participate. If you felt like giving up and did, you can still decide to give it another go. God is not disappointed in you, he’s rooting for you. He will give you strength and reward your effort. I’ve been having vivid dreams, some of which were very exciting, yet none with any great spiritual significance yet. I know it’s the fast that is prompting this activity. So, I’m asking the Lord for dreams with great spiritual meaning. Dreams played a significant role in the Bible.

Jacob's Ladder (Genesis 28:10-22): Jacob dreams of a ladder reaching to heaven with angels ascending and descending. God reaffirms His covenant with Jacob and promises to bless him and his descendants.

Joseph's Dream of Greatness (Genesis 37:5-11): Joseph dreams that he and his brothers are binding sheaves in the field, and his sheaf stands upright while his brothers' sheaves bow down to it. This dream foreshadows Joseph's rise to power in Egypt.

Pharaoh's Dreams (Genesis 41:1-36): Pharaoh dreams of seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean cows and seven healthy ears of grain being consumed by seven withered ears. Joseph interprets the dreams, predicting seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine.

Daniel's Dream of the Four Beasts (Daniel 7:1-28): Daniel dreams of four beasts representing different kingdoms. This vision provides insights into future empires and events.

Daniel's Interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's Dream (Daniel 2:1-45): King Nebuchadnezzar dreams of a large statue with different materials for its parts. Daniel interprets the dream, revealing the rise and fall of various empires.

Joseph's Angelic Dreams (Matthew 1:20; 2:13, 19): Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, receives guidance from angels in dreams. These dreams play a crucial role in the protection and upbringing of Jesus.

The Wise Men's Dream (Matthew 2:12): The wise men are warned in a dream not to return to Herod after visiting the baby Jesus.

Pilate's Wife's Dream (Matthew 27:19): Pilate's wife warns him in a dream about having nothing to do with the condemnation of Jesus, indicating the divine nature of Jesus' mission.

Here are our scripture verses to review every day. They will get in our heart and become the source of continual strength, comfort and wisdom,

1 Peter 5:7  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

2 Corinthians 12:9  "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Matthew 6:33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Love and Blessings,

Pastor Ray
