21 Day Fast Day 6

Today is day 6 of our 21 Day Fast, January 13, 2024. When I saw that we were about to enter our sixth day of our fast, I was reminded of God’s creation. What an amazing series of events that took place to bring this to fruition. The Eternal God who existed before anything did, decided to create the most incredible mind-blowing collection of things that capture our imagination. The vast array of galaxies with billions of stars and planets and a sun and moon to light the earth; the beauty of majestic mountains and landscapes and vast oceans that make us stop and wonder. This was all to lead to his masterpiece, Mankind.

Genesis 1:26-31 (NIV)
 26  Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." 29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

We can get so caught up with our personal issues that we sometimes forget who’s in charge and what his plan was. We forget that nothing is impossible for him and he is always there for us. Faith is the key.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

He created us to be a family with the awesome privilege of having an Eternal Father who loves us and a savior and Lord that taught us to be just like him. He also gave us his precious Holy Spirit who dwells within us and is our very life. Let’s bring God the praise he deserves and accomplish the work Jesus gave us to do. I believe we are going to experience a great move of God as we step out in faith and use the gifts he’s given us.
