21 Day Fast Day 21

Welcome to the final day of our 21 Day Fast! I hope its been good and meaningful to you. I believe God is pleased with us. I say that because he delights in his children. God graced us with the ability to reach out to him by giving us a measure of FAITH. Faith is the noun and believing is the verb form of the same Greek word. If you believe, it means that you have faith. If you have faith, it means that you believe.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:1-4 (NIV)
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 4 By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Romans 12:3 (NIV)
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

2 Peter 3:17-18 (NIV)
17 Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

2 Peter 1:3-8 (NIV)
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;  7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures I just compiled for you show the correlation of grace and faith. God gifts us with a measure of faith and expects us to grow in the grace and knowledge of him. He wants to see what we will do with what he gives us. There’s no coasting in the Kingdom. God wants us to be engaged in the fight, standing firm on the front lines. There is much to do! He is our inspiration and the one who empowers us to do what needs to be done. May God richly bless each one of you to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord!

Love and blessings,

Pastor Ray
