21 Day Fast Day 8

I was thinking about this, that while we are experiencing an inconvenience in our normal routines, the price we’re paying is miniscule in respect to the price our Savior and Lord paid for us. This is a time for us to be introspective about our lives; meditating on the gifts the Lord has provided and taking stock of ourselves to become who he always intended us to be. Meditate on the following verses to put into perspective who we really are!

Ephesians 1:3-10 (ESV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

That can seem like a mouthful, but it is our true destiny. We have been adopted into his family. Like the previous devotional where I wrote of us being included in all of these promises, this is a time to see things through an eternal perspective yet having both feet on the ground and living real productive lives in the world.

Jesus told his disciples to “look up for your redemption is very near!” God bless you and let’s continue to pray for one another.

Love in Christ,

Pastor Ray
