21 Day Fast Day 16

I trust you’re doing well and are encouraged in the Lord. Today was an amazing day. I woke up to 5 inches of snow and had a job to do that needed my attention if I wanted to get out of my driveway. After completing that task I needed to take a break and it was just as the Inauguration of our 47th president of the United States was being broadcasted. Debbie and I watched it. I was blown away by the vision he has for our country. It’s big! It’s comprehensive; it’s bold. He’s believing for radical change. President Trump needs our prayers! It is an unbelievable job that is full on for 4 years. He will need to be ready for any crisis that may pop up. You may love him or dislike him, but we have a mandate from the Lord. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV) 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone– 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.  President Trump needs to be covered by our nation’s prayers. He said that he believed that God had saved him from that assassin’s bullet to enable him to become president. I believe that’s true.

We all need to recognize that we have a divine destiny from God. We were created for a purpose. We are called to be his children; to love him with our whole heart; to obey him; to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and do the works he did. (I’m not making this up! It’s what he said.) He offers us an exciting life, full of adventure and purpose and Heaven when we’ve finished our course. Let’s do this!!!

Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)
9  In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Psalm 37:23-24 (ESV)
23  The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way;
24  though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6  in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 119:105 (ESV)
105  Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Isaiah 48:17 (NIV)
17 This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Proverbs 20:24 (NIV)
24  A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?
(The Expositor’s Bible Commentary offered this explanation: “How can anyone delude himself into thinking that he does not need the Lord when even a strong man's activities are divinely prepared.”)

Love and blessings,

Pastor Ray
